Program Manager, Lab-to-Market Partnerships

The Program Manager of Lab-to-Market Partnerships plays a key role in initiating and developing close relationships with various industry partners and universities while supporting the process of identifying early-stage technology interests in relation to the Nexusist food security reference model - NexRef. This includes building and cultivating relationships and opportunities with existing and new partners.

The Program Manager will:

  • Develop a prioritized plan for communicating with universities and applied research labs and initiate contact to introduce Nexusist

  • Work with internal teams on business case development, feasibility assessments and due diligence, which ultimately leads to licensing, SBIR grants, equity funding and other agreements

  • Participate in university-focused exploratory conversations with professors, principal investigators, and others to identify mutually beneficial capabilities, interests, and opportunities

  • Conduct periodic ongoing conversations with each university’s technology transfer and/or commercial relations office to seek new technology opportunities that are aligned with NexRef.

Location: Denver, Colorado or Washington DC area – other locations will be considered

Salary: TBD

Travel: 25 – 40 %

Educational and work experience required

  • BA or BS degree (MBA or PhD preferred); minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, joint venture & alliance management.

  • Ability to understand technology and platforms and translate into business value.

  • Experience identifying, evaluating, negotiating and building strategic partnerships oriented toward driving technology acceleration and growth.
